Hei Sushi (DownTown East)

It was my first time dining at Hei Sushi yesterday. Hei Sushi is under apexpal, which is a sister company of Sakae Sushi (not halal). Well now Muslims can enjoy Halal Sushi there, beside Ramen Ten.

Place has nice ambience & staff are friendly.

Prices are affordabe, $2.18++ for coloured plates, $6.88++ for red plate.

My favourite is the picture below, bit of spicy taste with the soft shell crab in the filling. The spicy tuna and salmon with avacado is also delicious. 🙂

I had the fried softshell crab, very delicious 🙂 ($7.88++)

Also to finish off your meal, do not forget the mochi ice cream, the yam flavour is superb. 🙂

  1. Had decided to choose sushi after too much meaty festive food BUT bad choice made at Diwntiwn East as Sushi served was not fresh and thinnest slice ever seen on sushi(likewise fugu)

After telling Hei restaurant Joseph (Phil) he found the thin piece so amazingly sliced and asked to give it to him . And he charged us for that! The Saba teriyaki was not fresh and over cooked and the swordfish sushi was sluggish…worst sushi experience of all!!!!! California hand roll was over filled with rice and the chawan mushi were served cold…so all these standard because it was halal ???

No discount was extended although we have Sakae card so is this part if the Sakae family or ????
